Scholarships and Tuition Fees

Study Fees at the PHEI "METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY OF TIRANA" for the Academic Year 2016-2017

PHEI "Metropolitan University of Tirana" applies unified tariffs for all study cycles. All study programs at LDS "Metropolitan University Tirana" are accredited.

The registration fee at the PHEI"Metropolitan University of Tirana"  is 500 euros a year. It is paid at the time of registration at PHEI "Metropolitan University of Tirana" and includes:

- Student card with all the necessary services (facilities inside and outside the institution, state tax, documents, certificates)

- The Secretariat is on line

- A hard copy library

- Library Mc'Graw Hill on line

- SICRED health insurance card

 

The student does not have any additional fees for passed exams or services during Academic years.

Study Fees for Study Programs at the Faculty of Economics are 1500 euros a year.

Study Fees for Study Programs at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences are 2000 euros a year.

The study fees for architectural study programs for the five profiles are: 3000 euros per year.

 

SHPAL "Metropolitan University Tirana" offers several types of scholarships aimed at supporting outstanding, talented students as well as those in social need. Drawing on this principle, scholarships for the academic year 2016 - 2017 for all levels of study are:

Scholarship Program

I. Excellence Scholarships:

* 100% scholarships for 9.5-weighted average graduates as well as first-place regional, national and international Olympiads in physics, math, chemistry or economics.

* 100% scholarship for students who continue to study at the Metropolitan University Tirana University and have completed the previous academic year with an average grade above 9.5 as well as the first winners of regional, national and international Olympiads in physics, math, chemistry or economics.

* 100% scholarship for students enrolling in the first year of high school, who have completed high school with Gold Medal.

* 100% scholarship for students enrolling in the first year of high school, announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of the best State Matura.

* 75% scholarships for 9th-weighted average graduates for second place national, international, regional, national, and international Olympiads in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Economics.

* 75% scholarship for students who continue to study at the Metropolitan Tirana University with a weighted average of 9, for the second place winners of regional, national and international Olympiads in physics, math, chemistry or economics.

* 50% scholarships for graduates with a weighted average of 8.5 and for third place winners of regional, national and international Olympic, physics, math, chemistry or economics.

* 50% scholarships for students who continue to study at the Metropolitan Tirana University with a weighted average of 8.5 as well as for the winners of the third place of regional, national and international Olympiads in physics, math, chemistry or economics.

Documentation and method of application for scholarships of excellence:

1. Request submitted to the High Board of Directors (notarized)

2. State Matura Certificate (Notarized)

3. State Diploma Diploma (Notarized)

4. Photocopy ID

 

II. Scholarships for Transferred Students:

* 30% Fellowship for students who transfer their studies from other partner universities to SHPAL "Metropolitan University Tirana".

 

III. Social Scholarships

a. For students enrolled for the first time

- Up to 100% scholarships for socially-assisted students, individuals with disabilities, children of police or military personnel, members of national minorities, etc.

 

Social scholarship categories

1. According to annual family income (students):

This category includes all students with economic inability.

Documents to be submitted:

1. Family Certificate (Civil Status)

2. Certification for siblings who are students and who receive or not a scholarship at the respective faculties.

3. Certificates for all family members attesting family income over the age of 18 (Working Centers where they work) (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format)

4. Certification for all members over the age of 18 who are registered as unemployed, and are treated with unemployment allowance (assistance). By (Local Employment Office) (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format)

5. Certificate of Economic Assistance, when the family benefits, or not. File number, full or partial size and amount. (Economic Assistance Section signed by the Economic and Social Council and the President)

6. Certificate of Social Insurance if parents or other members of the family receive a pension or not and other allowances (Social Insurance Office)

7. Certificate by the Regional Directorate of Taxation that all members of the family over the age of 18 are or are not private (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format)

8. Certification by the Land Administration and Protection Authority that owns or does not own agricultural property for both parents (Law 7501 of 19.07.1991

9. Certificate from the Central Immovable Property Registration Office that owns or does not own property for both parents (home, store, local, etc.)

10. Written statement by K / family for total monthly income.

 

2. Students with invalid parents.

This category includes all students who have in their families both invalid parents or one of them.

Documents to be submitted:

1. Family Certificate (Civil Status)

2. Certification for siblings who are students and who receive or not a scholarship at the respective faculties.

3. Certificates for all family members attesting family income over the age of 18 (Working Centers where they work) (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format).

4. Certificates for all members over the age of 18 who are registered as unemployed, and are treated with unemployment allowance (assistance). By (Local Employment Office) (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format)

5. Confirmation of Economic Assistance, when the family benefits, or not. File number, full or partial size and amount. (Economic Assistance Section signed by the Economic and Social Council and the President)

6. Certificate of Social Security if parents or other members of the family receive retirement or not and other allowances, Certificate from the Association of Workers Invalids (signed, stamped by the Chairman of the Labor Association), Certification by KMCAP . Worker Injury (Libreza)

7. Certificate by the Regional Taxation Directorate, that all members of the family over the age of 18 are or have no private activity. (All these certificates are scanned in a single document in "pdf" format)

8. Certification by the Land Administration and Protection Authority that owns or does not own agricultural property for both parents (Law 7501 of 19.07.1991

9. Certificate from the Central Immovable Property Registration Office that owns or does not own property for both parents (home, store, local, etc.)

10. Written statement by K / family for total monthly income.

 

3. Students with the Status of Orphans.

This category includes all students who have lost one of their parents or both.

The documents to be submitted are:

1. Family certificate (Civil status)

2. Death Certificates of Parents.

3. Document of the Association of Orphans photocopied and notarized.

 

4. Students who have lost parental custody.

The documents to be submitted are:

1. Family Certificate (Civil Status)

2. Photocopied and notarized Supreme Court's decision

 

5. Students with the status of disabled, paraplegic and tetraplegic, etc.

The documents to be submitted are:

1. Personal Certificate (Civil Status)

2. Evidence of photocopied and notarized invalid.

3. Certification of KMCAP of DRSSH

4. Certificate of Social Security in the event that parents or other family members receive pension or no and other allowances (Social Insurance Office)

5. Certificates for all family members attesting family income over the age of 18 (Working Centers where they work) (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format)

6. Certificates for all members over the age of 18 who are registered as unemployed, and are treated with unemployment allowance (assistance). By (Local Employment Office) (all these certificates are scanned in a single document in the "pdf" format)

11. Written statement from K / family for income.

6. Employed children on duty

Students, employees of the State Police, the Guard of the Republic, the Internal Control Service, the Fire and Rescue Police, the Armed Forces, the State Intelligence Service and the Prison Police who have been killed In charge and due to duty. At the beginning of each academic year the Ministry of Interior, the State Intelligence Service, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Defense send to the Ministry of Education and Science the list for this category of students.

The documents to be submitted are:

1. Family Certificate (Civil Status)

2. Certification by the Ministry of Education and Science, attached to the list for this category of students.

3. Certification by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Justice etc.

Percentages for each category

Up to 50% scholarships for applicants belonging to vulnerable groups of society:

For the children of the police officers or the servicemen dropped on duty

Individuals with disabilities

Members of national minorities

Members of households in economic need:

1. 50% - 144`00 ALL income per year

2. 40% - 240'000 ALL revenue per year

3. 30% - 480'000 ALL revenue per year

4. 20% - 528,000 ALL revenue per year

5. 10% - 600`000 ALL revenue per year

b. For our students in the intermediate years

Benefit of the same% stock if they continue to meet the same conditions as the previous year. The students submit the relevant documentation to the Learning Secretariat based on the scholarship category that is involved and the decision to hold the scholarship is communicated or not within 5 days.

IV. Diaspora scholarship:

* Up to 30% for applicants from Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and all Diaspora.

 The application for a scholarship is done online or by the Secretariat

 The number of scholarships is limited and their adoption is made with the decision of the Senior Management Board.

 Approval for each case is communicated within 5 days of applying for a scholarship. The applicant withdraws the approval decision or not from the stock exchange at the secretariat. Thereafter, the applicant proceeds with registration with her.
