Electrical Engineering

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering provides a multidisciplinary preparation, based on the fundamentals of industrial engineering.

The curriculum is structured in such a way as to give to the graduated student in the Master of Science a comprehensive vision of electrical applications dealing with energy and industrial automation guaranteeing the ability to be able to operate using consolidated technologies and solutions, and managing innovations at the level of components, electrical plants and systems, which can be part of complex structures, the treatment of which requires cooperation with other sectors of engineering. In order to achieve these objectives, during the course are predicted specific activities related to the application of the theories and scientific methodologies of the model, numerical simulation and optimization of the performance of components, plants and systems.

CRITERIA
The first cycle study programs, which allow admission to this study program of the second cycle, are defined by the Council of the Faculty of Engineering of PHEI MTU. Prospective candidates are expected to have passed a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The graduate student in the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering is able to design a power plant and control the use, planning and management of complex systems, and the use of electronics components for automation, conversion or control. He can also work in various fields of industrial and services sector, public administration, freelance, in scientific research and in teaching. Thanks to a multidisciplinary preparation, the graduate can cooperate with various sectors, different from the electrical one and also performing coordination tasks of the working group, management of technical activities and personnel management.
The typical areas for employment of graduates in the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering are the sectors where are studied, designed, implemented and managed traditional and innovative components and systems that use electricity. They can be employed in electrical companies, in the managing plants companies producing electricity in industry, transport and services. Another possibility is also the free profession (after being licensed).
